MeterZ progresses to Phase 2 of the Energy Systems Catapult Climate Accelerator

June 27, 2024

We are thrilled to announce that MeterZ, our pioneering energy data startup for commercial buildings, has successfully progressed to the second round of the Energy Systems Catapult Climate Accelerator Program. This milestone marks a significant step forward in our journey to revolutionize energy metering in commercial spaces.

The Energy Systems Catapult Climate Accelerator is a highly competitive program designed to support innovative startups addressing the challenges of climate change. Advancing to the next phase not only validates our work but also provides us with additional grant funding that will be instrumental in furthering our development.

We are particularly excited to continue our collaboration with the exceptional team at the Catapult, including our dedicated Incubation Manager, Daniela Montano. Her guidance and expertise have been invaluable as we navigate the complexities of scaling our technology.

Additionally, we are honored to be working closely with Alex Heliwell of Webster & Horsfal Group, who have generously offered their manufacturing site as a test bed for our solutions. This partnership provides us with a real-world environment to refine and validate our energy metering technologies, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of commercial applications.

Looking ahead, we are eager to deepen our engagement with the University of Birmingham. Together, we will undertake a research study focused on enhancing the accuracy of clamp metering solutions, a critical component of our technology. This collaboration will play a crucial role in driving innovation and ensuring that our solutions deliver the precision and reliability that our customers expect.

As we move forward, we remain committed to our mission of empowering commercial buildings with smarter energy metering tools, and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
